Bird window strikes in Hong Kong

The number of bird fatalities caused by window strikes is increasing across the world, especially in highly urbansied cities such as Hong Kong. Our team of researchers has launched a program at the University of Hong Kong to track and document bird strikes, pinpoint collision hotspots, and promote the use of anti-bird-collision stickers on reflective surfaces as a preventive measure. We are also collaborating with the Hong Kong Birdwatching Society to monitor bird strikes across the city. Our research has been featured in various local media outlets in both Traditional Chinese and English, raising awareness about the importance of preventing bird strikes and methods to mitigate this problem.
